Top 5 yoga classes in South Florida

I found a love for yoga back in 2013 when I went to India on a yoga retreat. It was here that I realised what impact yoga can really have on your mind, as well as your body. I left being able to do the splits, breath correctly and wanting to continue my practice, which I have since done – committing to at least 15 minutes every morning, no matter where I am or what I’m doing.

I love visiting South Florida and visiting new yoga classes, I’ll always try out new places but for now here are my favourite 5 that you have to visit if you’re heading to the area!

Fort Lauderdale

Yoga Joint

Known as Fort Lauderdale’s premier yoga studio, my first time ever doing Hot Yoga (inside) was here, and I loved it! I was lucky to land on dates that meant I paid $40 for 2 weeks unlimited attendance! They often have deals going on, workshops and they also have a creche for mummy’s to leave their little ones. Their shop sells divine yoga wear, aromatherapy products and a selection of healthy snack food & drinks.

New Smyrna Beach

KULA Yoga

Visiting a friend in New Smyrna (who also loves yoga) I got taken to a lovely little yoga studio that we went to for a morning and an evening practice. Classes are special, they offer heated Vinyasa yoga classes with music and you feel very looked after in the small group classes.

West Palm/Jupiter

I have been given a real insiders experience of West Palm thanks to some lovely ladies that I met over doing the show. Staying here has been an eye opener and I have been very well looked after. One could say that I think I may have fallen slightly in love with the area. I was taken in by Cindy Metzler, founder of the Good AC Guy and Lifestyle Blog (click for link), combining the both because home necessities like AC should be considered part of a good lifestyle, which ties in health, culture & home. She gave me the run down on most the yoga studios and juice bars in the area, here are just a couple of my favourites…

Breath, Salt & Yoga

A fabulous yoga studio in Jupiter with an adjoining shop that sells quality yoga and beach attire, jewellery and other products. They offer hot power yoga classes that leave you feeling fabulously cleansed, clear headed and full of energy. The salt room is an additional speciality that uses state of the art computer controlled equipment. You will be inhaling pure salt crystals through your lungs and sinuses which assists with many conditions as well as being a natural immunity booster.

Hot Yoga Downtown

A yoga sequence session in a room that brings you healthy heat with an abundance of fresh oxygen. The classes are extremely popular and often rather full but it’s fine, because unlike in a normal studio the heat of the room isn’t affected. They also provide a nice range of yoga kit and clothes to purchase.

Zeal Yoga

Offering a range of classes in Juno beach, Zeal yoga is a great all rounder and a good starting studio for beginners who don’t want to jump into hot yoga straight away. They also sell lovely personally made aromatherapy oils and room sprays formulated by one of the instructors.
