BELOW DECK EPISODE 2

What did we all like, learn and loathe about this weeks episode of Below Deck?

Well, it came with scenes of laughter, frustration, anger and endearment as we completed charter one and had our first night out together.

I think it’s safe to say that most of us are finding it rather challenging to tolerate Trevor’s behaviour and work ethic at this point in time. It can be extremely difficult on board when you’re not getting on with a crew member, due to the extremely close confinements.

Nico’s handling the fact he has a to work, take orders (or not), eat, sleep and socialise with the problematic Senior Deckhand very well, not withstanding that it may be extremely difficult to do so.

In the galley with Chef Ben

Being the Chef, Ben has one of the hardest positions onboard. The food can make or break a holiday and our guests can ask for anything they wantThen, Ben also has the crew to think about! On top of cooking for the charter guests (who happen to have an extensive list of difficult preferences) he also has to cook for us, and we’re not the easiest.

He’s starting to learn that Lauren, Sierra and I don’t like eating gluten or dairy, Nico does’t like fish and the boys love red meat, whereas the girls don’t. With this in mind, Ben seems to be dealing everything over the charter extremely well, don’t you think?Ben manages to please the guests at every meal over this charter with his culinary skills.

Doesn’t watching Ben cook make you hungry?

Supper Socials

We work all day in separate departments so it’s hard to get to know your new crew members. Because of this, meal times (however quick) are a good opportunity to have a chit chat and bond with everyone.

The girls all bonded very quickly 🙂

Letting Loose

Getting off board was a major relief for everyone involved over this first charter. It was significant in that we were all going to get to see everyone in their off work mode. Some of us got a bit too carried away, as we all saw but we all had a good time.
